I’m Loving : My new bag

I have loads of things I need to put up here. I have been a bad blogger of late. Well not bad. But busy. And pregnant with a toddler to look after too. After taking some good advice from my buddies I have stopped trying to do everything, and have stepped back from a few things while my body sorts its self out. This blog has been one to suffer. Like I said, I have loads to tell you like the Home Barn and the paint workshop I went on, and the new Kiddicare down the road from me. But that shall all have to wait until Phil’s home and I have some toddler free time. For now I just want to show you this:

leather satchel

It’s my beautiful new leather satchel which I snapped up for a bargain price from Scaramanaga - thanks for the hot tip Jay! It arrived today, and came with a little leather card holder. Totally recommend that company. Love. I fluffed up a bit and put the wrong delivery dress on, I used my old address … blame the pregnancy brain but that was all sorted with just one email.

Now I am signing off so I can sit here stroking my new bag…

New Orange Tripp Trapp

I’m Loving: New Orange Tripp Trapp

THIS has made me smile today. A lot. It’s the new Stokke Tripp Trapp. It’s the new ORANGE Stokke Tripp Trapp. And I love it. A lot.

Aqua Blue Tripp Trapp and Lava Orange Tripp Trapp

The textiles look awesome. I shall be putting a montage of Orange Tripp Trapp love together shortly, hell, I may even make a video because we love it that much. Happy, happy! :)

And you all know this isn’t the first time I have waxed lyrical about the Tripp Trapp. I have been showing this chair some love for three years now, ever since Little Legs got hers. Baby has the orange Tripp Trapp, I did offer the new orange one to her, but she wasn’t having any of it. Bless.

Loving : Magnetic Organization System aka MOS

Loving : Magnetic Organization System

Loving : Magnetic Organization System aka MOS

Oh my. This is something we need in our house. We need three of them. One in my office*, one next to Phil’s side of the bed, and one next to mine. Actually, I would mount them to the side of the bedside cabinet so they’re out of sight, even though they’re pretty inoffensive and atheistically pleasing.

What is it? The MOS “Magnetic Organization System” is a solution for keeping track of your cables. Simply set the end of your cable on the MOS when it’s not in use and the MOS will magnetically hold it in place until you’re ready to put it to use again. And just in case your cables are not playing ball, it comes with three cable ties. Such a good idea. No more scrabbling about for cables and we have cables everywhere.

Yours for just $23.99 plus $11 shipping from Bite My Apple. There’s loads of coolness on that site.

* The office is AKA corner of the lounge – but one day I will have an office. I am planning the office space right now!

Stokke Scoot Review

I’m Loving : Stokke Scoot Review

Stokke Scoot Review

Don’t worry, this isn’t another blog post waxing lyrical about scooters – although Little Legs does love her trusty stead – instead I am waxing lyrical about Phil’s favourite new addition to our household. The Stokke Scoot. Seriously, anyone would think that it is actually for him, the way he gently carasses the handle and strokes the friggin’ hood…

But it’s not. It’s all about Little Legs. She’s a Stokke lover. She loves her Xplory. We have another lightweight stroller too, but Little Legs always asks for the ‘big purple one’. Or did always ask. Now she’s all about the Scoot. Why? Because it’s comfy. She gets in, asks for it to be put down (it reclines fully), puts the hood up and she’s well away.

Phil loves it because he looks all cool and manly with it, especially when he folds it one handed in the car-park and swings it in to the back of the car. It folds sooooo easily, it really is very impressive. And it is compact. Living in a second floor apartment, we like compact. Having a toddler, a dog and all the peripherals that come with the two of them when we’re out and about, we LOVE compact. Seriously, if there’s one reason alone you should buy the Stokke Scoot - particularly if  you use public transport or have limited space – it’s for that reason.

I love it because Stokke haven’t moved away from their higher is better mantra. I love that Little Legs is high enough to connect with us all and chat she does. She has verbal diarrhoea. I blame Stokke for that. I digress, she can sit in the stroller and eat at a restaurant table, she can interact with the world around her and isn’t stuck down low with the car fumes. I love that it handles brilliantly (as does the Mother In Law who liked to push it one handed around Disney World whilst standing to the side of the stroller – yes Phil takes after his mother – bloody show offs!), even when loaded up with the little one and shed loads of shopping. I love that all the fabrics can be thrown in the washing machine.

There is of course all the other little things that you notice when you have been using a product properly for a few months; the seat is huge – more than you’d expect with a compact stroller, the adjustable handle height is super, the changing bag can clip underneath as well as there being a good sized storage basket, the visor is an essential, it has space for a cup holder which also is a fab place to put your keys and phone! The only con is that it isn’t as light as it is compact.

#stokkelover

It really is a massive thumbs up from us three … !!

We were sent the Stokke Scoot to give a good thrashing, and thrashing it has had!

It’s been to Florida as well as the mean streets of Portsmouth!!

ps. Just thought I would add this photo of Phil the #stokkelover!

Trendy Toddler

WIWW : Early January Edition

It’s What I Wore Wednesday time over at Transatlantic Blonde so I just had a dig through this months photo stream to see what I have of Little Legs from the last week. I do not look at all trendy at the moment, in fact I look dog rough, so you shall have to make do with Little Legs representing us! And as I couldn’t choose between these two images, you get to know about two outfits…

Trendy Toddler

First up we have Little Legs loving her iPad Mini and using our Bose headphones, although she has claimed them as her own. The coat is one of Barbour’s Liberty Print ones which I can not find online for some reason, the print is on the inside. Its cute. Phil sent it over when he was off on his jaunt last year. She’s also wearing 4funkyflavours leggings from Love It Love It Love It and a past season Polarn O. Pyret horse carousel tunic top which I love a lot and it compliments the leggings brilliantly. The top has a yellow contrast trim and the pants have some yellow detailing. One of her own favourite outfits because its comfy, one of my favourites because it’s super cute. Everyone is a winner.

Trendy Toddler

In this photo Little Legs is rocking her All Saints Children’s Nahara Trench Coat, she’s had this for a while now and it hasn’t lost any of its charm. The purple and orange bobble hat is from next (past season) and  she has on some classic Ugg boots which she lovingly refers to as her rescue boots. She normally puts on her rescue pack (aka a Skiphop Owl Rucksack) and rescues animals in the style of Diego in them … if you have a toddler you will know what I am on about. Anyway, a lovely walk but we froze our faces off. Thankfully that walk is literally two minutes from home so it was doable.

What do you think?
