Forget the Bucket List, it’s Potty List time.

Fear not readers. This isn’t a post about how my little legged one played with her poo. Oh no. She’s far too busy playing with her Disney Car collection to even think about such things. When I say play. I mean obsess. Damn, I have digressed already.

Potty list. This is a list of things that has been commissioned by Growingupmilkinfo.com of things that our little ones should do. It’s all very tongue in cheek but also very sweet. Yes I do sweet.

The first 36 of these are part of the original list. The last four I have added myself.

1. Made a mud pie

2. Baked a cake - Oh yes. Lots. Rarely with me mostly the childminder, but they’re mighty fine cakes I’ll tell you.

3. Finger painted - Tick. One of her favourite activities. My first opportunity to bore you with pics.

Lola finger painting

4. Sung loudly in public - She’s her father’s child. She will sing loudly anywhere.

5. Climbed a big hill - My girl did good on the Water Aid walk. The hills she did walk were immense for a two year old.

6. Picked fruit - Yep. Blackberries in the garden.

7. Danced with no inhibitions - Everytime Got to Dance comes on. She bloody loves it.

8. Made sandcastles on the beach - Of course. Barbados.

9. Been chased by a monster - Does her dad count?! Not sure.

10. Jumped in a puddle so hard the water went in mummy’s shoe too – Up my leg yes. Shoe no.

11. Belly-flopped

12. Fed the ducks - Of course.

13. Blown bubbles – Tick. In the bath, in the pool, with a straw and bubble bubbles if you get me.

14. Had a teddy bear’s picnic

15. Chosen a favourite book - Yes. It changes. It was A Little Lose for ages, then Spike Milligan, now it’s bloody Disney Cars.

16. Ridden on the top of double-decker bus - She has, around the Isle of Wight. But I think we need to revisit this as I think she may have been a little too young to enjoy. In fact, she fell asleep.

17. Visited a museum - Lots of times. Lots of museums.

18. Been on a train ride - At least monthly. Hell she was on the underground at 8 weeks old!

19. Fed an animal - Everyday the dog, and sheep, goats and all that.

20. Grown cress in the shape of your name

21. Worn pants on your head - Her head? Or mine? Either which way. Yes.

22. Ridden the tea-cups at the fair – We tried at the Pleasure Beach, she was too small.

23. Flown a paper aeroplane

24. Poo’ed in the bath - Yes. Enough said.

25. Stayed the night away from home - Of course.

26. Ridden on daddy’s shoulders - She prefers Mummys.

27. Scribbled somewhere you shouldn’t - Don’t even get me started.

28. Cleaned your own teeth - She tries everyday. She loves it. But mostly sucks the toothbrush.

29. Answered the phone - Yep.

30. Mastered a party piece

31. Had a ‘first love’

32. Bought something in a shop - Our little corner shop regularly. Normally a five pence lolly.

33. Set your sights on a future career (pirate, fairy or builder, perhaps?)

34. Told a fib – She blames the dog from time to time.

35. Made up an inappropriate nickname for someone

36. Broken something valuable

37. Seen live music - Yes. She’s been to a few folk festivals and to Camp Bestival.

38. Chosen her own outfit regardless of how ridiculous it looks - Oh yes. Much to Phil’s dismay and my delight.

39. Given something away willingly

40. Taken a photo which is displayed in the house.

So there we are at. Not too bad is it. We still have a few to do, and a few to clarify. :)
