A Bad Blog Day

Last night I sat up until silly o’clock, geeking about with The Bump Wear Project, making it look all fly. In the early hours, I gave myself a pat on the back for being so bloody brilliant, and went to bed.

This morning, I woke, and as us social geeks do – picked up my phone and thought I’d check my fancy new theme on the device. Looked great. Clicked a link. 404 error. Odd. Must check theme notes on configuring for devices.

Fast forward a lazy start to the day. Flick on the iMac as we’re weighing up the pros and cons of a beach vs park walk, sip some coffee, go to blog. 404 error. Odd. Very odd. It looks like there is content there. But nope, every single link bar 2 do not work. Ahhhh.

Log in to back end. Look at pages. No pages found. Look at posts. No posts found. Look at media. No media found.

WTF!!!!!  This is the stuff of blogging nightmares. I have been posting on this site since 2009, how can it all have gone?

So I have done my best. Put out a cry for help to those that know stuff and disabled / delete all my plugins,  as from experience those little f*ckers can cause a whole load of posts. But alas, still broken.

I host with Just Host. They are currently restoring my site … back to the 11th October. So while they restore. I thought I’d sit here and tell you all about my troubles and remind you to BACK UP. Seriously, I never ever bother. I am stupid. If you’re also stupid sort it out. Back up now!

Else, like me, you will be spending your Sunday redoing something that took you about 5 hours yesterday….. 5 hours. Sigh.
